BLACKBERRY

The Blackberry belongs to the Family of the Rosaceae. This fruit is native to America, but in Colombia there are more than 40 wild species of Blackberries.
The plant is a perennial prickly vine; It grows in heights between 1,800 – 2,400 m.s. The fruit is of conical shape with a length between 2-4 cm and diameter of 1.5-2 cm; When ripe, its color is dark purple and its bittersweet taste.
